RYE - Police say one person was injured after gunshots went off inside the Hilton Westchester Saturday afternoon.

The victim, a British tourist, was rushed to Westchester Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Detectives from Rye Brook Police Department say the incident was an accidental shooting.

They say a guest from upstate New York was putting away his gun when it discharged, sending a bullet into the room next door.

Police are still investigating but say the man who owned the gun did have all the necessary permits.

The hotel is where Narcy Novack murdered her husband, millionaire Miami hotel owner Ben Novack, in 2009. The case was so highly publicized that the hotel ended up changing its name from the Rye Town Hilton to the Hilton Westchester.
