3ds agoRussian-born Misha Phillips’s passion for boxing started just two years ago at the Peekskill Be First boxing gym.
Although it began as a fun hobby to relieve stress, it quickly became clear Phillips was naturally skilled.
West Artope, executive director of the gym, witnessed this firsthand.
“I saw the fire in him he really wanted to do it regardless of the grueling workouts fighters have to go through,” said Artope.
Phillips proved his talent by winning big at his first tournament.

Phillips is proud of his achievement and looks forward to continuing his promising career.
