2 new military planes arrive at Stewart base
Two new military planes landed at the Stewart Air National Guard Base this weekend.
Two majestic C-17s were rolled out Saturday in a grand ceremony featuring members of the 105th Airlift Wing and high-ranking military officials.
Congresswoman Nan Hayworth, who was instrumental in securing the federal funding needed for the planes, says that 500 Orange County jobs will be saved because the aircraft.
The Stewart Air National Guard Base will receive a total of eight C-17s by May 2012.
