Two town of Cortlandt employees were arraigned Wednesday on charges in connection to exploding mailbox incidents in Cortlandt Manor and Montrose.
Christopher Servedio, 19, and Kyle Louch, are accused of using fireworks to cause two mailbox explosions in Cortlandt Manor Aug. 26 and another explosion in Montrose Sept. 2.
One homeowner says a huge boom rocked her house on the night it happened. She says at first she thought maybe a truck backfired or a transformer exploded, but when she went outside she saw her mailbox was engulfed in flames.
Another victim caught the whole act on camera and credits his footage with helping police capture Servedio and Louch.
The attorney for the town says the men worked as laborers and have been suspended without pay.
Both men are due back in court Thursday.
