25 families homeless after Spring Valley apartment fire
A total of 25 families were displaced by an inferno at a Spring Valley apartment complex Monday night that brought out more than 100 firefighters from at least six fire departments.
Flames were pouring from the windows of the apartment complex just off of Kearsing Parkway when firefighters arrived at around 7 p.m.
It took crews several hours to get the blaze under control as it ravaged a total of 30 apartments with smoke and flames.
A spokesperson for the Red Cross says it wants any other affected residents to know that they can call for help if they need it at 1-877-RED-CROSS.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but officials say the fire doesn't seem suspicious.
