Six firefighters and one police officer were injured in a fire Tuesday evening in Crown Heights.
The incident happened at 910 Bergen St. around 9 p.m.
At least three of the six firefighters sustained serious injuries, according to officials. The police officer was also treated for minor injuries.
The firefighters and police officer were injured when a stairway they were on collapsed, sending them crashing to the ground.
A Department of Buildings spokesperson told News 12 that a full vacate order has been issued for the building and that it must be sealed because of the heavy damage it sustained.
The damage includes a partial collapse of the roof and staircase.
More than 100 firefighters responded to the fire on the second floor of the three-story building.
None of the residents of the building were injured as a result of the fire.
