Accident involving Amtrak train, car in Peekskill causes delays, no injuries reported

An Amtrak spokesman says the car was on the tracks just north of the Peekskill station when it came into contact with the train.

An accident involving an Amtrak train and a car in Peekskill Wednesday afternoon caused delays on Metro-North’s Hudson line.
It happened around 2:15 p.m.
An Amtrak spokesman says the car was on the tracks just north of the Peekskill station when it came into contact with the train.
There were no injuries to either the passengers on the train or the people in the car.
It's not known why the car was on the tracks.
The driver of the car, whose name has not been released, was issued three summonses.
