Thousands packed Orchard Beach Sunday to participate in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer's annual walk to raise awareness of the disease.
This is the 11th year the walk has been held at Orchard Beach.
Organizers say approximately 11,000 people came out, donning pink, from all over the city and borough to show their support.
Proceeds from the walk will be going toward the American Cancer Society, which provides free information and services to men and women in need.
