BITTER BLAST: Tracking frigid air, whipping winds for Friday in the Hudson Valley

NEW: Frigid conditions arrive by Friday afternoon into Saturday. Whipping winds and 25-45 mph gusts will likely trigger wind chill advisories. Feel-like temps subzero to -28 across parts of Hudson Valley.  
NEXT: Next week features a dry, seasonal pattern. The next round of roller coaster temperatures arrive. Warming trend after Monday.

OVERNIGHT: Mostly clear, lows near 25.   
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny with lighter winds, 5-10 mph. Highs near 39. Lows drop to seasonal range near 25.  
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny with colder, drier air filtering in. As the day progresses the arctic blast will settle and magnify. Friday at 10:15 a.m. temperatures will feel like 0 in White Plains. At 4-7 p.m., temperatures will be at -7. Strong wind gusts ranging from 25 to 45 mph. Highs near 27, lows near 4.
SATURDAY: Sunny but still freezing, not as windy. Highs near 22. Lows near 18.
SUNDAY: Cloudy but mild with upswing in temperatures. Highs near 42. Lows near 30.
MONDAY: Sun and clouds. Above-average temperatures. Highs near 45. Lows near 32. 
TUESDAY: Even warmer, under partly sunny skies. High near 50. Lows near 38.
