Christmas is saved this year for thousands of local children.
The Westchester Toys for Tots has found a new location, just in time for the holidays. Life the Place to Be in Ardsley is lending a helping hand, and opening its doors to allow Toys for Tots to use its space on Lawrence Street.
The room, typically used for Lazer Tag, is now gutted so the organization can use it as a processing and distribution center. “We've always been a community based operation. So when it talked about community and kids, we do 300 kids birthday parties as well at Life the Place to be, so it just kind of made sense and was logical," says Sharon and Steven Zukerman, owners of Life The Place To Be.
Westchester Toys for Tots originally lost its collection and distribution center due to COVID-19. The group made Christmas special for over 20,000 last year alone.
