The Westchester County medical examiner has confirmed Thursday that a Cortlandt Manor man shot his wife then turned the gun on himself.
Police say Yonkers detention officer Gerard Moray shot his wife, Angela, in the arm and chest after a violent confrontation in their home on Watch Hill Road Wednesday. Angela Moray, 37, is in stable condition at Westchester Medical Center. She told investigators that she desperately tried to call 911 during the fight. Police say her husband blocked her way, shot her with his city issued handgun and then turned the gun on himself.The Moray?s three children were at school at the time of the shooting. Police say there were no reports of a domestic dispute before the shooting.
