A basketball tournament was held in Yonkers last night to honor fallen firefighter Patrick Joyce.
Joyce, who loved to shoot hoops, was killed in the line of duty back in Oct. 2009. He leapt from a burning building after trying to battle a fire that was sparked by an alleged arsonist.
The tournament was organized in part by Joyce's family and was held at Fordham Prep school. A full crowd turned out at the stadium and many local firefighters attended to pay their respects to the Yonkers hero.
Organizers say proceeds from the tournament will go to the Westchester Bereavement Center.
