A Mexican eatery that has recently opened in the South Bronx is getting a lot of attention for its unique flavor.
El Atoradero has been named one of the 2014 restaurants with the best tacos by food critic Robert Sietsema.
Owner Denisse Lina Chavez opened up the restaurant last year. She is from a small town in Puebla and she says all she tries to do is give Bronx residents a taste of Mexico.
Aside from critic reviews, the Village Voice also named El Atoradero the best Mexican restaurant of 2014.
Chavez makes over 12 dishes a day, including carnitas and burritos.
