A man was pulled from the chilly waters of the Hudson River off of Haverstraw yesterday after his sailboat overturned. (Credit: News 12)

HAVERSTRAW - A man was pulled from the chilly waters of the Hudson River off of Haverstraw yesterday after his sailboat overturned.

It happened at around 7 p.m. Saturday. According to reports, the boat was found by a boat dock near the Bowline generating station.

The Thiells fire chief says the man was eventually fished out by a diver after hanging on to a float cushion for a period of time.

There is no word on the man's identity or current condition.
