Body cam video was released in connection with the shooting death of a Hudson Valley man.
News 12 previously reported on this story in September 2022 after state police officials say a trooper shot and killed a distraught man armed with a knife in Ulster County.
Investigators say 41-year-old Daniel McAlpin was inside his home on Clark Road when police responded to a call back on Sept. 9.
The state Attorney General's Office released the video of the moment troopers and a mental health crisis team tried to get him to drop the knife.
State police released a statement back in September, saying in part McAlpin ignored commands to drop the knife.
The statement went on to say a trooper tased him and a second trooper fired at McAlpin - killing him.
