Bra bandits strike again in the Hudson Valley
Police are searching for three suspects who allegedly made off with more than $900 worth of Vitoria?s Secret bras from the Nanuet mall Monday afternoon.
According to Clarkstown police, store clerks reported the merchandise was stolen right out of the display case during what authorities believe is the latest incident in a string of lingerie thefts.
Last week, $11,000 worth of bras was stolen from a Victroia?s Secret store at the Westchester Mall in White Plains. In early October, the bra bandits allegedly hit a lingerie store at the Galleria in White Plains.
In March, a theft ring was busted at the Palisades Center Mall. Police believed the merchandise was going to be sold on the street.
?I definitely don't think it?s right, and they should be caught, but I think people will buy anything for less money than it is in the stores,? says Bryna Schoenbart, of New City.
So far, police do not have any leads, but they are looking to determine whether the lingerie thefts across the Hudson Valley are related.
