Police say an unmasked, armed man walked into a New City bank Monday, demanded money and stuffed a white plastic bag full of cash before fleeing.
At least five customers, a number of tellers and surveillance video may help police nab the suspect, Jose Arroyo, 43, who created a morning scare when he brazenly walked into Providence Bank on South Main Street and pulled a gun from a binder. The suspect waited in line and demanded money when he reached a teller. He later got into a green Ford Explorer and sped off in the direction of the Palisades Parkway.
No one was hurt in the robbery.
