After a weekend of battling for the title, the men of Rice and Cardinal Hayes and the women of Fieldston, suffered disappointing losses. New York State Federation Basketball Tournament came to a close Sunday with the tally of wins and losses. Rice lost to Brooklyn?s Lincoln High School 68-62. Cardinal Hayes was devastated by a buzzer-beating shot that secured a 44-42 loss to Peekskill. The females of Fieldston were beat out by women of Notre Dame in a 64-46 Class B semi-final loss. On the other side of the coin, the Jefferson girls suffered a devastating loss to Notre Dame in the class B finals.
