Many families were getting their grocery shopping done Sunday as Thanksgiving quickly approaches.

In Canarsie, grocery store lines were very long as shoppers scrambled to grab the ingredients they need to make the perfect Thanksgiving meal.

Shoppers say it was their last weekend to get all the essentials like turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce.
