It took 15 years, but churchgoers at a Bronx church say it was worth the wait.Just in time for Easter, renovations were finished at the Greater Holy Tabernacle Church. After years of holding services in the basement, the holiday marked the unveiling of the church's new home.Pastor Shelvis Green says it was a dream of his father, the church's former pastor, to build a bigger parish. When his father became ill, Green left his job on Wall Street to come and help fulfill that dream. He says it took a while, but it eventually became a reality thanks to fundraising, bank loans, hard work and spiritual beliefs.Members of the church say the renovations exceeded their expectations. They say the church's re-opening has special meaning since it happened on Easter Sunday.
