NYPD officers are continuing their search for a missing 1-month-old boy after his mother has changed her story about what happened.According to police, the 25-year-old mother said the baby was abducted outside Jacobi Medical Center Monday as they were headed to a doctor's appointment. Lucila Rojas claimed an armed man took off with the baby, but now sources say she told police she is responsible. Sources tell News 12 The Bronx that Rojas said she gave birth to the baby prematurely at the hospital and left him there until New Year's Day when she picked him up. As they were on a bus to Queens, Rojas allegedly said the boy began to choke on something and that she dumped him in the trash somewhere fearing he suffocated.Police are now searching landfills in hopes of finding the baby. Rojas has been charged with second-degree murder, tampering with evidence and endangering the welfare of a child.
