Construction along the Grand Concourse has pedestrians and drivers calling for changes to prevent accidents.
The Department of Transportation (DOT) has closed a stretch of the roadway and is diverting traffic to E. 166th Street and Walton Avenue. Concerned Bronx residents say that area has turned into a speedway. They want the DOT to install a speed bump, a stop sign and have a worker direct traffic.
The DOT says the traffic pattern is temporary due to road improvements and is expected to last until October.
