Cablevision and News Corp. said Friday that they have reached a deal over programming fees, ending a two-week stalemate that saw News Corp. pull Fox 5 and My9 off of the cable provider's systems.

The signal for both channels returned to the air in time for the third game of the World Series and today's Jets/Packers game.

Cablevision had agreed to binding arbitration in the dispute, but News Corp. refused to take part. News Corp. pulled the channels, along with Fox 29 Philadelphia, Fox Business Network and Nat Geo Wild, off the system two weeks ago.

Cablevision criticized the FCC's lack of involvement in a statement issued today.

"In the absence of any meaningful action from the FCC, Cablevision has agreed to pay Fox an unfair price for multiple channels of its programming including many in which our customers have little or no interest," Cablevision said in the statement. "Cablevision conceded because it does not think its customers should any longer be denied the Fox programs they wish to see."

A statement issued by News Corp. said that the programming had returned after a deal in principle was reached by the two sides. It also stated that terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Cablevision is the parent company of News 12.
