Cancer gets shaved in Bronxville

BRONXVILLE - Clippers were working overtime at a fundraiser in Bronxville this weekend.

People shaved their heads to raise money for children's cancer research at J.C. Fogartys.

One of the youngest volunteers, 10-year-old Emily Harper, helped raise almost $10,000 for the charity. "Cancer is a really bad disease and it's killing a lot of people," says Harper.

The St. Baldrick's event is one of the Yonkers PBA's biggest annual fundraisers. "It's fantastic, there's really no better cause than to raise money to help cure childhood cancer. We've done a really good job this year," says Yonkers PBA President Keith Olsen.

This year, Yonkers firefighters also joined the cause to honor firefighter Jef Campion who recently passed away.
