NEW YORK - Cardinal Timothy Dolan celebrated Easter Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan Sunday morning, drawing thousands from the area.
The cardinal brought out his trademark charm for those in attendance.
"I'm a little upset. I saw Pope Francis had a half-million this morning,” Dolan joked of the turnout.
The message of Cardinal Dolan's homily was to celebrate new life and to fill emptiness with the love of God.
There were eight Masses celebrated at St. Patrick's on Easter Sunday, but the 10:15 a.m. Mass featuring Dolan had a line of parishioners that stretched around the block.
