Hundreds of friends, family and law enforcement attended a ceremony in Rockland County Sunday morning to remember and honor three law enforcement officers who sacrificed their lives to protect their communities.
The annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service was held at the Rockland County Courthouse in New City.
At the ceremony, the three officers names were included on the memorial wall of the courthouse, including NYPD Officer James Betso, of Pearl River, NYPD Chief Steven Bonano, of Nanuet, and NYPD Sgt. Michael Galvin.
All three men died of 9/11-related illnesses.
