City of Newburgh searches for new police chief
The city of Newburgh is beginning the new year looking for a new police chief.
Newburgh Mayor Judy Kennedy confirms City Police Chief Michael Ferrara is retiring this Friday.
City officials are already searching for his replacement.
Kennedy says an interim police chief will be discussed and appointed in executive session by the city council Thursday night.
Ferrara has been Newburgh's police chief since 2010.
