1h agoClarkstown celebrated two major milestones Tuesday - the birthdays of two residents of the Tolstoy Foundation Nursing Home in Valley Cottage.
Micheline Rivera is celebrating her 96th birthday and Edith Venturo is celebrating her 106th .
In honor of their longevity, the town of Clarkstown presented them both with certificates.
Rivera said the secret to long life was a cocktail every day.
“The secret to her long life was growing up and having good food. We had all homemade fresh vegetables," said Venturo's nephew, Larry Dolce.
Venturo’s family tells News 12 her other secrets to a long life include having no kids and no husband. She is officially the second oldest resident in Clarkstown.
