Clarkstown PD seeks tips after armed bank heist
Clarkstown police are looking for any tips that might help them apprehend a suspect wanted in connection with an armed bank heist in Nanuet this morning.
Investigators are reviewing surveillance video from the Palisades Federal Credit Union on Route 59 in Nanuet after a man pointed a silver handgun at tellers there around 9:45 this morning, and made off with an unknown amount of cash after forcing an employee to open the vault.
The suspect is described as a medium-built black man in his mid 30s with a scruffy appearance, hat and dark clothing. He is estimated to be about 5'9" tall. Anyone with any information on the incident is asked to call Clarkstown police at (845) 639-5800.
