Clarkstown teens accused of dangling dead animals from overpass
Three 16-year-olds are accused of dangling dead animals from an overpass in Rockland. No one was injured, but the dangerous prank damaged several cars driving along the Palisades Parkway Monday and led to the teens' arrests. According to police, the three teens from Clarkstown found a dead possum and a dead crow on Route 304 in Bardonia. They used a piece of rope to hang the two animals from the overpass onto the parkway. At least six frightened drivers called police to report that something was hanging from the overpass and colliding with their cars. The teens tell police it was all just a big joke, but if convicted they could face prison time. They are due back in court later this month.
