Closing arguments began yesterday in the trial of four men accused of plotting to blow up two Bronx synagogues and shoot down military aircraft at Stewart Air Base.

Prosecutors argued that the four men thought that the whole plot was real and that they were planning the attack. They also argued that no normal person would ever dream of getting involved in such a plan.

"The thought of planting bombs and shooting people didn't scare them. They had no problem. That's how you know they weren't entrapped," said prosecutor David Raskin.

The defense then began its closing argument, stressing that the four men were entrapped by the FBI.

The defense will conclude its closing statement today and the jury will then begin deliberations.
