Confidential informant continues testimony in 'Newburgh Four' trial
Testimony of a confidential informant continued yesterday in the trial against four men accused of plotting to blow up two Bronx synagogues and shoot down military aircraft at Stewart Airport.
More surveillance footage was played of the confidential informant allegedly talking to one of the defendants, James Cromitie, about picking targets and surveillance work.
Defense attorneys used the footage to argue that the defendants were entrapped by the FBI and it was the informant, not the defendants, who was setting up the plans.
The prosecution still contends that the defendants were willing to commit the terrorist acts and harbor a hatred of Jews and want to see them die.
