Contractor Douglas Walker pleads guilty in 2013 gas explosion at Nyack College
NYACK - A contractor involved with the gas explosion at Nyack College last year has pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.
Police say Douglas Walker was not authorized to dig in the area when he hit a gas line that caused the blast last June. The explosion injured eight people. While it was unintentional, police say Walker's actions were criminal.
Walker now faces a $250 fine and will need to perform 100 hours of community service.
