Police say a burned female body that was found in a Monsey park is the mother of a child who was abandoned in Delaware over the weekend.

Investigators say the 20-month-old girl was left at a gas station in Delaware. Her father, Dwayne Jackson, of Edison, N.J. was charged Thursday with kidnapping and endangering the welfare of a child. He is being held on $750,000 bail.

Jackson has not been charged in the Monsey slaying.
