Cops: Couple stole $1M from Rockland company
A couple from New Jersey was arrested for allegedly stealing more than $1 million from a Rockland County insurance company, police say.
According to investigators, 36-year-old Aziz Hussein and his wife, 34-year-old Heather Hussein, of Riverdale, N.J., had been stealing money from the Accord Corporation in Pearl River, where the husband worked for five years.
Police also arrested Ian Perham, of Buford, Ga., in connection with the investigation. Authorities say with Perham's help, the Husseins made the insurance company pay for goods and services they claimed they never received.
The couple is now facing first-degree grand larceny charges. Aziz Hussein and his wife are being held on $2 million and $1.5 million bail, respectively. Perham was also charged with grand larceny in the first degree.
