Cops: Man broke into church to call sex hotline
A man was busted for allegedly breaking into a Valley Cottage church to call a sex hotline.
According to police, 35-year-old James Macnair broke into Elim Alliance Church on Lake Road Monday and used the church?s phone to call the hotline. Police say they received a call from someone in the church telling them there was a break-in. Macnair was arrested at the church. Police say he admitted to breaking into the church once before on Friday for the same purpose.
Police say Macnair is homeless. He is charged with two counts of burglary, possession of burglary tools and petty larceny. Due to two past felony convictions, Macnair was held without bail.
