Cops seek 2 men who struck New City home in broad daylight
Police say they are searching for two men who invaded a New City home in broad daylight and allegedly held the homeowner's son at gunpoint.
According to authorities, the suspects walked through the unlocked front door of the home on Barbara Road this afternoon. The homeowner says her 28-year-old son was the only one inside and that he was also tied up with duct tape.
Officials say the victim was able to get free and call 911 for help, but that the men escaped.
Police say they only have a vague description of the suspects and that it's unclear whether it was a random act or if the home was targeted. They are urging anyone with information to contact the Clarkstown Police Department at 845-639-5800.
