The Croton Caring Committee, a nonprofit, teamed up with the local police department Saturday to collect toys for the Adopt-a-Family program.

Santa was also present at the toy drive and took pictures with children. Croton-on-Hudson residents tell News 12 they're teaching their children to give back in a time when so much has been taken away.

This is the first year the toy drive was held. Organizers say they hope it becomes an annual event.
