Customers of Nance's Coffee Shop are rallying Sunday to keep the Metropolitan Transportation Authority from closing the store.
The shop is located on the second floor of the Croton-Harmon train station.
MTA officials are now making the space where the java house sits available to a new tenant.
The owner says they have sent countless letters and emails to the MTA telling them to stop the bidding process and negotiate with them because they want to stay. However, they say they've received no response.
Kristine Cohen says she's been running the 51-year-old shop for a decade.
"It's horrible,” she says. “I get up at 2 a.m. to come here and start my day like this every day."
Cohen says she’ll fight for her customers and for her family even if she fails.
