10h agoRising stars in Mount Vernon will soon have a chance to audition for Denzel Washington School of the Arts.
Auditions for the performing arts school will be held March 2-4 this year.
An open house event will be held Friday, Feb. 10 to give parents and potential students a chance to learn more about the school.
Children from grades six through nine are welcomed to audition and could get the chance to meet the school's namesake.
Actor Denzel Washington paid a visit to students at the school in November.
