Gov. Kathy Hochul told News 12 Friday that she believes more than $30 million in damage was done from the storm, but an exact estimate is not yet known.
President Joe Biden approved an emergency disaster declaration for 14 counties in New York that could trigger some federal help is on the way.

Hochul says the goal is to get people’s lives back to as close to normal as possible as quickly as possible.
There is no exact timeline as to when people can expect to get some financial relief with insurance claims.
