The mystery surrounding a ghost boat from New Rochelle that washed up on the shores of Florida is slowly unraveling.
The 45-foot boat, called the Cuki, was found shipwrecked on a beach in Melbourne, Florida on Tuesday.
News 12 has spoken to the boat's former owner, Janusck Machnica, who says he used to docked it at his New York Sailing School business in New Rochelle until it went bankrupt almost five years ago.
Machnica tells News 12 that he moved to Florida, and he sold the boat to a business owner in Key West, Florida five years ago. Machnica says he does not know the current owner's whereabouts.
Machnica also says that published reports that he was in trouble with the law are not true, and he has never been in prison.
