The DMV is offering new weekend options after complaints of longer-than-usual lines.
Long lines wrapped around DMV offices following the passage of the Green Light Law, which allows immigrants who came to the U.S. without documentation to get a driver's license in New York.
To accommodate the crowds, the DMV says it hired 300 new employees statewide.
Offices are also opening an hour earlier on weekdays and some are now offering appointments on Saturday.
Saturday appointments are now being offered at two local DMVs -- West Haverstraw in Rockland County and Yonkers in Westchester.
