Dozens of dogs and cats woke up in a new home Monday after their shelter was deemed unsafe.

All the animals from the Pets Alive Shelter in Elmsford were taken to other local kennels just before last night's deadline.

Investigators say the building was unsafe because of cracks in the walls and sinkhole concerns.

Volunteers are hoping people will adopt the displaced animals....
