Flooding problems plagued Westchester and Hudson Valley as heavy rains pounded the region Saturday.
Heavy rains shut down parts of the Saw Mill River Parkway in Yonkers. Drivers had to negotiate around huge puddles and were forced to take detours to get to their destinations. Hours of downpours caused flooding on roadways through Westchester and Hudson Valley.
A flood and wind advisory was in effect for the area until Saturday evening. Storm totals, including Friday night?s rain, brought up to 4 inches of rain in many areas. The weather also brought strong winds with gusts up to 40 mph for the entire region. Hudson Valley Weather
