Dr. Christina Johns gives tips on how to keep your children healthy

Dr. Christina Johns, senior medical advisor for PM Pediatrics, spoke to News 12's Elizabeth Hashagen about how parents can keep their children healthy during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Dr. Johns says one of the most common questions she gets from parents is, "Can I get outside with my kids right now and take a walk?"
She says that you can. She says that if you are going on a walk, where you will encounter people you should wear a mask. If you are the only ones out in the backyard, or a remote trail, then a mask is not necessary. She suggests to always carry a mask with you, in case you encounter someone, you can put it on.
She says when putting a mask on a child it should completely cover over the nose and mouth. She also suggests that children over 2 years old should wear masks.
