Dr. Anthony Fauci has issued a new Thanksgiving warning when it comes to holding large family gatherings.

Dr. Fauci is throwing up a caution flag especially if elderly relatives or out-of-state travel is involved.

"I think people should be very careful and prudent about social gatherings particularly when members of the family might be at a risk because of their age or underlying condition," says Dr. Fauci.

The nation's top disease expert added that Americans may need to "bite the bullet" and sacrifice social gatherings this year.

Dr. Fauci says his own three children who all live in different states will not be flying home this year.
