East Ramapo school closing its doors
While many students are celebrating the end of the school year, for students of Hillcrest Elementary, it is a bittersweet celebration as the school will be shutting its doors.
The spending plan approved by voters Tuesday for the school district included the closure of Hillcrest and laying off 101 staff members.
Things are ending on a happy note for students, however. The school is throwing a week-long ?Grand Finale? carnival filled with games, music and fun.
