Fire officials responded to South 10th Avenue where flames broke out just before 7 p.m.
Officials say they found smoke coming out of the basement when they first arrived. There were no injuries, but the home is badly damaged
Officials say the fire happened due to electrical issues.
News 12 was told that the Red Cross is currently helping the family.
