Exec. Ed Day delivers Rockland State of County address
NEW CITY - Newly elected Rockland County Executive Ed Day delivered his first State of the County address Tuesday night.
The Republican discussed the county's economy, which is facing a deficit of $145 million, along with the lowest credit rating of all counties in the state.
Day says a $96 million loan Rockland is receiving will help with daily expenses. He also says he plans to tighten spending, overhaul county government and hopefully sell the Summit Park Nursing Home, which has been a drain on the county for years.
